Shopping Near Ocean Grove

Be sure to visit all the shops and restaurants in Ocean Grove! Ice cream cones from Day's, crumb donuts from the Ocean Grove Bakery, gourmet cheese from the Cheese Shop, last minute groceries from the Pathway Market (corner of Olin & Pilgrim Pathway, just past Auditorium Square Park)- all a few blocks away! Here are some places outside of the Grove that you should know about.

9. BJ's Wholesale Club: 1904 State Route 35, Oakhurst, NJ 07755 Corlies Ave to Rte. 35, go north past the Asbury Circle, it's on the west side of 35, so do a U-turn at Park Ave. after you pass it. (732)493-2037

20. Monmouth Mall: Anchors are JC Penny's, and Lord & Taylor's. There's a movie theatre and lots of small shops. Take Corlies Avenue or Asbury Avenue, turn north at 35, continue several miles to the Mall. (not shown on map) Open Mon-Sat: 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

21. Jersey Shore Premium Outlet Mall: Burberry, Calvin Klein, Cole Haan, Elie Tahari, J.Crew, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Kenneth Cole, Nike, Sony and more. Take Asbury Ave west past Rt. 18, bear left onto Rt. 66 after the circle; the outlet mall is on the right just before the Garden St Parkway.

22. Circle Factory Outlet Center: 1407 Atlantic Ave, Manasquan. Take Route 35 South from Corlies Avenue, about 6 miles to the circle at Atlantic Ave. The outlet is on the S.W. side of the circle. Antiques, Collectibles, Art Galleries

23. Visit the great art gallery in downtown Ocean Grove next to the bakery - they have rotating shows and generally good taste in artists. I also love the Heart to Hearth antiques gallery on the south side of Main Street just past Pilgrim Pathway, and I always buy my jewelry at Gifts by Tina on the north side of the street.

24. Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park has lots of antique shops and art galleries. Walk over the bridge and go west along Cookman to see what's new and what's antique! There are also some fun decorator/design stores on the Asbury Boardwalk.

25. Habitat for Humanity Resale Store: Thrift Shop: for the bargain hunters!! The best place for finding gently used inexpensive housewares. 917 3rd Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712 (just west of the tracks) Weds - Sat 10 am - 4 pm

26. Point Pleasant Antique Emporium: 125 dealers. I've not made it down to this one, but a reliable friend says it is her favorite on the shore. 622 Trenton Ave at Bay Ave, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742. 732-892-2222. Take Corlies Avenue to Rte 35, go south, just past the Belmar bridge, turn left on Rte 71. Follow 71 for about 5 miles, then it joins back with 35. Take 35 into Pt. Pleasant Beach, turn right at Arnold Ave, then left on Bay, go 2 blocks to Trenton. Takes about ½ hour. (not shown on map)

27. Englishtown "Auction": http://www.englishtownauction.com/ Giant flea market with over 1000 vendors on 50 acres. Open weekends year round. 732-446-9644 Take 33 (Corlies Ave) west, about 13 mi. past the Parkway, right on 527 N to the end, left at AgWay, stay on 527 N (S. 28. Johnson's Restaurant Supply: (732) 775-1660. 1100 Corlies Ave, Neptune (at Memorial Drive). If you are a cook, you will LOVE this place, it is chock full of cooking equipment and serving pieces and is happy to sell retail.
